DARNELL HARRIS | DIRECTOR OF PLAYER RELATIONS

Wake Forest men's basketball head coach Steve Forbes announced Darnell Harris as the program’s new Assistant Director of Player Relations in June of 2023.

A former player of Forbes, Harris most recently acted as a graduate manager for the men's basketball team at Ole Miss. His time with the Rebels was preceded by a professional playing career that began in 2016.

Harris began his collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater during the 2012-13 season, where he averaged 11.4 points per game and led the Warhawks with six rebounds per game. He went on to transfer to Northwest Florida State.  His lone year in Niceville saw him post a standout campaign with nightly averages of 12 points and 5.7 rebounds while holding an efficient 53.6 field goal percentage.

Harris played at Middle Tennessee State University his final two years of college.  He averaged 11.7 points and four rebounds his senior season and scored 15 points in a win over Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Harris played for several different organizations within the Belgian Pro Basketball League (PBL), Chinese National Basketball League (NBL), Greek Basketball League (GBL), and Lebanese Basketball League from 2016-20. His stint with the Beijing Eastern Bucks involved the 6-8 forward averaging 27.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.9 steals in 16 league games.
